Bridget used to simply be a dude who was raised to prefer traditionally feminine clothing and behavior, but despite that wanted to prove he was still just as much a man as any other (regardless of his personal tastes). He would always correct people who mistook him for a girl. But now she's just outright a girl. It's like the character gave up.
