Probably dragon quest. It used to be final fantasy but I just could not enjoy ff15. I liked it enough to finish it but between 12, 13, and 15 my hype for the series has almost completely gone away.

14 resparked some of my love for the series but I had to cancel my sub to save some money.

It would be Final Fantasy, but I think I like more Dragon Quest games than Final Fantasy games, and Final Fantasy is absolute garbage now.

Same here. I remember having FF5-10 and FFT readily available to play on PS1 or PS2, and I assumed the quality of the upcoming games would get nothing but better. Then I felt like making FF11 online only was a slap in the face to the loyal fans. When I got FF12 home, it instantly went in my PS2 and I turned it on to eagerly start a new FF game and then I realized what they had done to the combat. I tried to play it anyway and it was literally so slow and boring that I quit (same story for every time I try to replay it).

Some of our more toxic fans are starting to whine that they think turn based combat is boring. Instead of focusing on our good fans, lets replace it with the a system that is unquestionably more boring and basic than turn based.

And thus, the loyal fans were stabbed in the back to cater to a new crowd who now acts like they invented the series. Am I bitter? You bet, but what can I do? Can you blame me for not being enthusiastic about the series after playing FF15? Ive played action RPGs on the SNES that had better combat than this game and you could literally write the entire story out on a napkin.
