It's also prudent for an attempted murder charge, which I am desperately hoping the employee gets. Pouring boiling water on a person is at least aggravated assault, which the psychos here are trying to pass off as self-defense. Fine. Chasing after a fleeing person with a second pitcher of boiling water? Def attempted murder. The customer's ace in the hole will be the locked door. The employee is doing hard time. Count on it.

Oh look, another person who ignores facts.

1: getting in the employee's face as they did is legally assault, any violent response to an assault is self defense.

2: ensuring your assailant ceases all assault is the entire point of self defense, so yes making sure they actually leave is imperative. It's that or make sure they can't get back up.

3: the water was not boiling.

4: They literally were not locked in, you literally CAN'T be locked in. The idiots just didn't press the fucking panic bar.
