People really love this game but it's just ok. Really fun combat with lots of abilities, but the environment is entirely empty. There's literally one proper city and then a few tiny tiny towns, and the rest of the world is just the same ugly forest. Pawns are a cool mechanic but the game also has an air of euro-style jank present throughout.

Plus the story is wack. Like there's this whole additional arc after you beat the final boss that's entirely unnecessary.
