Though to be fair it's stated and implied that many of them are in denail or outright lying about it and they explicitly acknowledge there was some inbreeding with some families like the Gaunt's.

I think there probably is some implied inbreeding. I also would assume some of the "purebloods" are actually half bloods and lying.

But I also assume Muggle born wizards are rarer than pure or half-bloods.

I don't know if that's ever stated but I feel like it has to be case for the Death Eaters to have any internal logic at all.

Can't really argue the magic is stolen when mud-bloods outnumber you 10 to 1 and your kids aren't magic. Hell mudblood doesn't even work as an insult if most wizards are mudbloods.
