This but I also wouldn't date someone I hadn't known for a while and befriended first so I expect that level of commitment/interest from the getgo, my boyfriend and I were friends for a year before he finally asked me out and it's been super smooth sailing since. I think the concept of dating a random person you just met on a site/social outing isn't a very good way of finding your life partner. Getting to know them first and then letting things blossom naturally from there seems to lead to much more successful and happier relationships than trying your luck just for the sake of being in a relationship, but that's just me though.
