The question now is "what do they do for five more episodes?"
Kim is going to see Saul sending her on Lalo's "errand" as a massive betrayal. This is going to be the giant "step to far" in the shenanigans they have been pulling, esp. with Howard's death and Mike telling them to keep telling the lie that they started (oof).
Saul sent her to get her safe. The look in his eyes when she is leaving, he totally expected that to be the last time he saw her. He wanted her out of there because he was expecting Lalo to kill whoever was left in the apartment. He didnt expect her to try and kill, he just wanted her away and safe.
