i dont think america is going to collapse as an empire but our position on the global scale will definitely be weakened as republicans further tip the scales towards their shitty policies that stagnate the economy, ruin the climate, and make people less educated, safe, and secure. lots of people will suffer needlessly and when most boomers are dead in about 10-20 years well finally be able to start turning the tide assuming the climate isnt so beyond repair that its hopeless.
