Topic(few months old) idk why a boxer would agree to a match w/ a kickboxer

That's the thing most people don't get about Boxing, it's not really a fighting style, it's a sport. It's a sport where you're fighting with severe limitations. You're not allowed to kick, you're not allowed to tackle them to the ground, you're not allowed to them from behind, etc. That's the whole point of boxing, conditioning yourself to follow the rules and beating your opponents with such major disadvantages. Kick boxing on the other hand doesn't have the same limitations, they're allowed more freedom on what they can do and as the result they're going to win more likely because of it. Now if a kickboxer were to challenge a boxer to a boxing match, they're most likely going to lose because it would almost be fighting a newbie because kick boxers don't have the same conditioning regarding the sport as a boxer.
