oh i 've heard of diesel watches . maybe it's the same guys that make the watches. But in your opinion diesel jeans are much better than levis?

Yes it is the same designer. I think if you were to get a pair of Diesel jeans, and then wear them as frequently as one typically wears jeans, you would feel its a very poor value because the denim is still subject to wear and will eventually break down. If you were to wear them a couple dozen times per year, they would probably last your entire lifetime or at least many decades.

Tbf, I do not think that Levis quality is in line with their level of prestige, and a lot of their good reputation comes from their effective marketing. I think you can get better jeans than Levis for the same or less money if you shop wisely and especially if you were take advantage of manufacturer discounts, outlets and overstock resellers like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Ross. Brands I really like that have comparable retail to Levis but are generally both more comfortable and have better fit are Kenneth Cole Reaction ($89 full retail) and Express ($88 full retail). I think with jeans, for a person who is not interested in making a fashion statement, but is more utilitarian in their clothing options, you get much more out of purchasing many pairs of lower priced jeans than a single pair of high end jeans.
