If Adam West hadn't won people's hearts in the years leading up to his passing, I'm sure Batman '66 would be brought back and killed off in some disrespectful manner. I hate Marvel/Disney having a near monopoly on successful superhero content, but I can't really empathize that much with DC. marvel did something similar. In Spiderverse, the main villain visited the universe of an old cartoon called Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. And he murdered the main characters of that show.
