Closer to home I have a friend who was clean off meth for a year. She relapsed the other day. Its not easy to kick a habit like this no matter what route you take trying to get clean. All you can really do in these situations is watch from afar and give advice if its asked for. I could have Elon Musk money, and it still wouldnt necessarily help. Like DB said, its more about personal willpower, and how you use resources available to you. At least with Newport (and this is just my observation from afar) but regardless of how many times he came out of rehab or jail and had a "new lease on life" he never seemed to be in the "rehabilitated" state of mind. Like just based on what he would say on here. It was never him talking about how he was turning his life around and off anything for good, but was just all about staying off drinking and drugging just long enough to get someone or something off his back (his parents, employer, the law, etc) so he could go right back to his old habits when that oversight was removed from his life. He never really seemed to take it seriously. --- Not removing this until Mega Man 64 is released on the Wii Virtual Console.
