To show the public just how corrupt and treasonous Trump and his criminal friends were. They dont have to recommend criminal prosecutions but can still get all the evidence out there.

Trump tries to steal the election. That is a fact at this point. People can continue to ignore it but it happened.

It's also important to note that the January 6th committee is going to send all of the evidence from their investigation to the DoJ regardless of whether they make a criminal referral.

The January 6th committee not making a criminal referral pretty much means they won't draw a road map for the DoJ and they'll let the DoJ come to their own conclusion based on the evidence provided.
