Counterpoint - if there is a particularly problematic user who intentionally derails your topics (or topics in general) and disrupts your experience on the board beyond their own posts, ignoring them does nothing. If you block them, they literally can't see your topic so they can't do shit in it (yes, there are means around this but most such users wouldn't actually go to those lengths). Fair enough.
