Yes, we had them in high school. I always thought they were stupid. During a real active shooting I'd be noping out of there via the newest window. Not hiding in a corner that isn't going to fool any active shooter.

At least my mandatory active shooter training at work vindicates me by saying GTFO of the building if you can.
To be fair, the point is to hide out of sight of the doorway, in the hopes that the shooter thinks the room is empty and just keeps moving.

Hell, even as an adult, our training is "Run, Hide, Fight" in order of which we should attempt first. Run to safety if possible, but if the shooter is between where you are and the exit, then hide. And if the shooter forces their way into your hiding spot, then fight back using improvised weapons (aka grab the heaviest object you can and try to knock them out before they shoot you). But they stress that fighting an active shooter is extremely dangerous and should only be used as a last resort.
