Not to say the SNES has bad tunes or that they're all forgettable. But if I'm gonna bring up a list of music from 90s games, I'm only going into the SNES catalog for tracks from a few games. Most of my catalog will likely reach out to the Genesis.

True. In a similar sense Nintendo has dominated the hand held market even against competitors with better specs for their handhelds. I feel they owe a lot of that to pokemon. But that's where Nintendo was smart. They kept the mainline series on handheld.
