I'm sick of Hollywood killing off every character they no longer wish to use. All that does is throw a wet blanket over years (sometimes decades) of good feelings associated with a series and make people resent the new characters. (I swear, Transformers: The Movie should be taught in film school.)

The issue isn't that Creed needs Rocky Balboa to chaperone him in all of his matches. It's just a matter of courtesy to invite the man who literally made the series. If he said he's done, that's fine. That's his decision. If they said, "Bye, Felicia," that's shitty on their part.

Seems kinda weird to expect the original main character always pop by for a meaningless cameo. His character arc is done. He passed the torch on. At this point it's a spin-off and the new movies aren't even named after him.
