there is no realistic solution here. banning guns will never happen and even if it did it wouldnt fix the deep seated festering rot of society largely perpetuated by social media, fear mongering news networks and by and large lack of people giving a shit about each other with ever dividing political and cultural norms.

the US specifically has always had shootings, but not until columbine (and coincidentally the above shifts) did you start to see a real break down of society. the guns have always been there, these types of shootings, by and large wernt. it shows a much deeper relatively new problem that needs to be addressed or we are all going to drown.
