Blaming mental health is so fucking dumb. If Putin launches nukes to destroy the whole world, it doesn't matter if we know the status of his mental wellness. We're dead.

If a man in the park has paranoid schizophrenia and was stabbing people because he is terrified of the government, I want that person PUT AWAY. I don't care where. I am sorry that their life is terrible and every day is hell for them. I want them AWAY because they are a danger to MY WELL BEING. If I had kids, even moreso. That is a big reason why we jail people, when they are a danger to society.

Mental health is not the answer to solving violence. Respecting mental health is overall a benefit to society, but trying to act like it's the solution to mass killings is utopian. Idk if any of you normies even realize but therapy does not cure everything 'wrong' with someone. Sometimes killers don't even believe there is anything about them that needs fixing.

It's not like an anime where someone has one conversation with the right perspective with a villain and suddenly they're the good guy because they understand the wrong of their ways.
The people who harp on about mental illness every time this happens aren't being genuine about their concern for it. They don't care about it, at all. Ever. They just want to keep their guns and are deliberately muddying the waters by complaining about mental healthcare because admitting they are okay with blood sacrifices from innocent children is bad optics.
