A federal judge Tuesday dismissed a lawsuit by three Florida residents against Gov. Ron DeSantis over his plan to revoke the Walt Disney Co.s, Reedy Creek Improvement District.

In her order, U.S. District Court Judge Cecilia Altonaga, a George W. Bush appointee, found the Orange and Osceola counties residents lack standing to file suit, the federal court lacks standing to decide the issue, and the law does not go into effect until 2023.

The complaint was filed on behalf of Michael and Edward Foronda of Kissimmee and Vivian Gorsky of Orange Park.

Altonaga found the three, "do not plausibly allege they have suffered any concrete injury as a result of the alleged violation of Disneys First Amendment rights, and nothing in the Complaint shows Plaintiffs have a close relationship with Disney."

The Orlando Sentinel reports their attorney, Michael Sanchez of Miami, said he will refile the suit next week.
