My wife tells me about her sisters' cheating, all the time. I'm not sure... wh... actually I know exactly why -- she says I'm a really good listener, and she loves "offloading" to someone trustworthy, but it isn't that -- Oh no, we had been married for just under a year, and I made, what I thought was an inoffensive joke about fidelity between one of her sisters and their husband.
The look her sister gave her as her face went from, shock, to recognition, then to anger was momentous. Forever more, she's told me about her sisters' cheating (3 of her 4 sisters are pretty unfaithful), so I don't make "little" jokes.

It does make dinners out with her sister and their husbands very awkward... though...
