Invulnerable saves are very very good and are separate from your normal one. Usually shown in writing as ++ symbol. Inv saves help you against Armor penetration or AP for short. Your normal save will get degraded if you go up against a good gun or weapon with good AP. But if you have an inv save then you still have a chance of saving a wound. So you use your normal armor save first (easier to modify and sometimes its lower which you want) but if your inv is better you use that.

this was a huge help but I still have a question. You say "Invulnerable saves are very very good and are separate from your normal one." but they later you say if inv is better, then use that.

So lets say I have a lieutenant with Storm Shield being hit with guass flayer and 4 wounds go through. I have a 2+ save and a 4+ invulnerable save.

The flayer has AP 1 so my regular save is 3+ and invulnerable is 4+.

So I roll regular save and I get a 2, failing the roll. Do I then roll an invul save for a second chance to negate the damage?

If the first roll succeeded, do I still get another roll for a chance to negate 2 wounds?

Also for the outriders, is it 150 or 100 points? I suspect 150?
