I was so happy when he earned a niche in early S/S as a legitimately viable Water/Ground type. He's kind of been passed up (again) by Quagsire, Gastodon, and Swampert by now, but he got his time to shine. Also he has a totally awesome shiny. I always wanted one but I never wanted to use Seismitoad, so in Shield it was one of the first ones in the game that I ever grinded by breeding. Seisimitoad was pretty reliable for me in B/W.
