I've lived in NC my entire life and love it here. The food is amazing (shrimp and grits, fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, etc etc) but the weather kind of sucks in the summer. But our winter is usually mild, maybe one or two snows a year. The town I grew up in, and still live in, has grown so much since I was a kid. I kind of hate that, but what can I do?

People are generally nicer here from what I've noticed. I've traveled quite a bit, and people in big cities always seem to be in a big hurry about everything. And rude. It's not uncommon here to see tractors on a road, and that obviously slows down traffic. But nobody ever gets pissed about it. Most people at the store will talk to you, and aren't ever rude.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. We're not all bigots and bumpkins.
