It's not as bad as people make out. I've known plenty of northerners who claim the North has just as many racists/bigots. My brother claims he's seen more confederate flags in PA than here. And until recent history the confederate flag wasn't a issue here. You'd see people wearing clothing with it on it friends and hanging out with black people. It was just accepted as a southern pride thing.

LGBT probably is far more disliked down here than minorities and even we just have to deal with hearing people's shit opinions for the most part.

I don't live in the deep south though. So idk how they are.

The biggest problem I guess is we have our lifestyle down here that democrats would threaten and unfortunately people look out for themselves first and so vote republican.
