Apparently, there was a feud between the families in the old country(Ireland, I think?). The Bradys are working class stiffs, good guys, and the DiMeras(evil) are rich, and run some kind of company,(Im not sure what they do, fashion, maybe?) As for characters, soaps have big casts, and characters periodically go on hiatus, meaning that they arent on the show for a while. And yes, sometimes an actor leaves the show, and a new person takes over the character. When a new actor appears for the first time a voice says, the character X is now played by Y. Edited 11:54pm --- Vegy is a 30 year old man, who's pretending to be a 60 year old woman that likes to act like a 57 year old man that pretends to be a horny 16 year old boy. ...
