In this case, he's offering $54 a share which is well above what it's trading for (around $30 a share). The whole thing is about to turn into chaos. The board just enacted a "Poison Pill" policy, which will stop the take over temporarily, but leaves the entire BoD open to being fired and sued by the shareholders. --- Most people are other people.
