You simply set the digital temp and it controls the pellet usage for you to maintain that temp. So I can let it smoke for hours of crank it up and use these little aluminum grate attachments to sear/grill. It also accepts additional meat thermometers to keep tabs on your meat temps (on front panel or through app). Its heavy as a mofo but technically portable using the wheels and the collapsable legs.
