I've done it for at least 4 Fire tablets and it works mostly like a normal tablet after doing that. Cant beat the price, but it's still a low end tablet. Just for streaming and reading it will work fine, but expect it to chug a bit on webpages that take up a lot of memory. Done the same thing with multiple Kindles.
