I once got into a light hearted argument with two female friends who were teasing guys for manspreading. They didnt really care when I pointed out that, yeah, some guys are jerks and spread too wide, but mostly its guys spreading just a bit because of our balls.

They did get real fucking quiet after I reminded them that literally every woman we all knew, including themselves, would very often use a seat or table space, say at a restaurant, to accommodate their purses, backpacks and other bags.
