Wooo! Beat Malenia on my second try! I must have naturally had an anti-Malenia setup, because everything I've ever heard of her told me she's the hardest boss in Souls history, and I got her in try two.

My equation for beating her:

Be level 156 + Maxed out Bloodhound Fang + Level 10 Mimic with its Bloodhound Fang + two handing, sprinting around the fight, not even bothering trying to block or trade hits (thus avoiding the worst of her attacks) + liberal usage of perserving bolouses and uplifting aromatics + a physick flask that increases ease of enemy stagger.

Basically me and my mimic would carefully run in and do an 8 hit combo on her together with our Bloodhound Fangs and cause blood loss, and that alone would nearly eat up half her life bar. Then just run way far away while she either does her slice and dice combo or rot explosion, then run back in and do our combo again. It may have just been my stats, but she wasn't bad at all. She stands around a lot and lets you wail on her, and me and my mimic's attacks would stagger her so she couldn't get away.
