You just watched an episode that is about a few things.

One of them is that we've gone too far in the other directon on sexual harassments in some regards. I was all for #MeToo when people were going after rapists, but now people are claiming #metoo for bad dates or people asking to see their tattoos and shit. Obviously to point it out as an extreme, Butters gets labeled as a sexual predator for pinching a girl on St. Patrick's day.

One of them is a feeling from some that you can no longer celebrate white culture, except paddy's day, and even that is perhaps under attack.. As someone of Irish decent I've never liked how it gets celebrated in America, a feeling passed on to me by older generations of my family, but I also don't necessarily think it has been culturally appropriated which takes me to...

One of them is about the over use of the term cultural appropriation. America is a mixing pot of cultures and ideas. It's not cultural appropriation for a white chick to wear a Frieda Khalo shirt yet where I live (Tucson) those claims get made. No, cultural appropriation is what America did to rock n' roll - a black form of music that has had nearly all of its cultural roots scrubbed away from it, to the point where you'd be hard pressed to name a black person making rock music today.

And one of them was kind of a cheap jab at the Caltholic church and all of the, shall we say, unusual things that are canonical under it.
