okay, so a while ago me and this one person hit it off, we could talk for hours daily. and i'm not gonna go into detail but it got pretty hot.
...and then all of a sudden i started getting one word responses.

when i asked what was wrong, they said their mental stability was going bad and couldn't handle being with someone at the moment.
they've had history with that stuff, so i accepted that and backed off, hoping that once they get better, we could carry on where we left off.
that was February, 2021 and no sign of that happening any time soon

i felt like absolute shit for months after that, but i think i'm over it now, probably, maybe. though sometime i'm not so sure

we still talk now and then, but it's not the same anymore
