The Trussville Police Department (TPD) has arrested a Clay man for attempted rape and kidnapping (first-degree) on Friday, March 11.
According to the TPD, 26-year-old Shameek Dunn was arrested for assaulting a 19-year-old employee of Palm Beach Tan located at 4710 Frank Street in Trussville.
Dunn reportedly attacked the victim while she was interviewing him for a job at the business. He fled the scene after the attack but was arrested a short while later by TPD at his residence in Clay.
Dunn is charged with attempted rape and kidnapping (first-degree) with bonds totaling $90,000. Warrants have been obtained from the Jefferson County District Attorneys Office.
