Topic	I've just finished playing FF9.

I actually (now HERE is a spicy take) liked FF2 more, though 3 is almost certainly the best of the NES games. FF1 is about as generic as you can get without turning into Dragon Quest 1. FF2 was more ambitious, even though holy fuck that leveling system needs work to this day. If you want an easy pick up and play to completion FF game, that would be either FFIV or FFV.
