Gohan would have been able to defend himself and beat Radtiz. Future Goten was not able to defend himself against Goku Black because he was weak. He was weak thanks to Chi Chi rules. Future Gohan was not able to defeat C17 & C18 thanks to Chi Chi rules. He never got to learn or train with Goku at all. Seems Chi Chi rules are more of a hinderence. The bad guy were able to defeat or kill Chi Chi son was thanks to her rules.
