He stabbed the guy and left him in a wheelchair. The guy died 20 years later. I never understood the outrage at that part though. He was repeatedly denied a human heart transplant, so he became a willing test subject with a pig heart. "There are people more deserving than him." Okay, then let those more deserving people get a non experimental transplant.
