What's wrong with fried eggs and sausage gravy? Don't you have eggs on your fry-up with sausages? You're just doing it the other way around, with this meal.
It's a vastly different gravy from the gravy you'd have on your roast, or Sunday dinner.

Anyway, when I went to Japan - I was eating at a restaurant and had spaghetti bolognese, and they came around and offered a raw egg, which they just cracked on-top -- like you'd have cheese, or black pepper in other places....

I always think of black pudding and white pudding as being Scottish things. I always knew fruit pudding as a specifically Irish thing. Probably isn't though.
