Thats black pudding which is more of an Irish thing tbf.

It's an essential part of the English Breakfast: https://www.englishbreakfastsociety.com/black-pudding.html

Are you thinking more about White Pudding? For example in James Joyce's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, it states: "White pudding and eggs and sausages and cups of tea! How simple and beautiful was life after all!"
White pudding is a lot more popular in Ireland, than it is in England (where it's quite a specialty item) -- whereas it's a mainstay in a lot of Full Irish Breakfasts.
