Didn't read the article. I don't see how fatties are carbon storage. You have to be fat to lose weight, so fat people are potentiated fat loss. That means during weight loss periods they will be breathing harder during exercise and expelling more CO2. They might expel more anyway because of course their body needs more oxygen to operate. So they will be expelling more CO2 because more oxygen will be inhaled.

So I don't really think you can count them as CO2 storage like you can trees. Fat people contribute to climate change just like regular people, and just like cows. I don't think trees expel CO2. More accurate to consider trees storage for CO2.
