Upon seeing it, he just backed away and started screaming. In the extended lore, it turns out that 173's true form wiped out several beings as strong as 682's true form. A race of Leviathans that 682 belongs to. Apparently my knowledge of the SCP Foundation extended lore is out of date. Makes sense. Haven't read the site in years.
