A lot of the "shelters" are shitty places full of shitty people If you have a negative past with people who exploited you or pushed you to crime or danger you might not want to live next door to them. First time I ever went to the YMCA to meet a cilent a girl walked up literally in the middle of our conversation and attacked him right in front of me because they had history.
