Yes. The draw distance is far greater, which makes the game look so much worse. You can see the entire map from the top of a building. The original game hides how small the map is through deliberate design *and* the draw distance hiding how close you are to everything. With the draw distance gone you can see how the three cities are like, a countryside driveway's length away from each other and it looks ridiculous.

I think it does add somewhat of a charm when approaching a city--though more evident in VC and 3. That "city in the distance" feel.

But I do agree, it's terrible in SA when you are high up, especially in a plane.
