Eh, it actually gets more difficult to perfectly emulate some games the older they get. Especially when consoles have entirely new architecture. The only way to make sure emulation is absolutely perfect is if you tailor an emulator specifically for each game, which is what they did with the Wii VC. All I really ask for is if the game isn't a mess when it comes to visuals, framerate, and stability.
