I gave Sweet Sacrifices a try, thinking it was just another nukige. Well, more specifically, the VN is actually in two parts, and I read part 2 first.
Hoo boy. I wasn't expecting an overarching Persona-esque God is a machine and also evil plot.
So the main girl of part 2 is a saint/priestess who's set to be wedded off to some appointed man in order to conceive a holy child that will annihilate the coming demon army, blah blah. For "reasons", her body becomes immortal and she can give birth in a day, and this repeats until she finally gives birth to the prophesized child.
The plot starts as you'd expect of a sex romp. Demon lord invades the wedding, stuff happens, priestess gets humiliated and kidnapped. Then it turns out there's five other demon lords, and they formed an alliance in order to impregnate/weaponize the priestess' holy child in order to rebel against their masters and enemies. Each demon lord has varying fetishes and/or measures of cruelty (plot twist: the slime turns out to be a mostly-wholesome guy who just wants a cute daughter, even if he himself reeks and has otaku fetishes; while the orc is a proud fatherly military leader and surprisingly the most gentlemanly of the group). But the last demon lord is where the plot gets JRPG territory.
I'll check out part 1 another time, I guess. The connection to part 2, from what I saw in what I assume is the true end of part 2, is that they're parallel universes but still slaves to the same "god", does intrigue me enough to see if there's any connection there as well, but I'm not expecting too much.
