"What else have the Toddler Titans written to you about?" you ask.

"Um... Well, their first letter to me was really good. Like, entertaining good. Melvin wrote it because she wrote that it was her. The opening line was was 'Dear Raven, hi, it's Melvin.'"

"How cute."

"And with rather good penmanship for her age," Raven says. "Since then, she's told me things like how they are getting used to the monks' diet of mostly rice and eggs. The monks have even been willing to do eggs in different ways so it isn't just scrambled all the time. Sometimes the monks have meat, but it's usually chicken, so the monks have been persuaded to make little bite-sized nuggets for the three of them to eat, like from fast food chains."

"That's nice of the monks."

"Yeah..." Raven smiles.

She has a warm, nostalgic smile as she brings up her legs to curl up on the couch.

"Aw, Raven," you say as you wrap and arm around her shoulders. "I like seeing this motherly side to you."

"Motherly?" she says with a giggle. "No, I'm more like their big sister."

"But big sisters can tap into motherly instincts," you say.

She gives you a smirk and you two chuckle.

"So, aside from all that," she says, "there was one time Melvin let Timmy and Teether try to write part of the letter, and not only was it obvious because she said it, you could see the writing was so very different. Timmy spelled everything he wrote correctly, but in much bigger letters. Teether's writing was more zig-zags, and then a smear of some kind. I imagine he drooled a bit and it messed up the ink."

You two share another chuckle.

"That's all the time we have," the male anchor says. "For Channel 15, I'm Wait Pynchon."

"And I'm Early Norris," the female anchor says.

With that, the news goes to commercial now that it's the top of a new hour.
