Topic	For real though, why does Hollywood dumb down movies?

I think he was killing ones that weren't mindless and thus he created himself into a legend that he was some sort of Dracula-esque monster that couldn't be reasoned with. It doesn't help that the vampires were still pretty primitive and were still evolving. But yeah it has been a really long time since I read the book.
