That's the opposite of making sense, though. The Wii U was a flop whereas the Switch looks to be a major success. They can make a lot more money porting to a console that is far more popular then they would by keeping Wii U games on that console only, and porting games would simultaneously make the Switch's library appear more impressive.

It's in Nintendo's and third party developers' best interest to port any good Wii U game to the Switch.

Nintendo is pretty ass backwards when it comes to this kind of thing. They could have made tons of money on the NES and SNES remakes but they chose to intentionally make a small supply

I'd be really surprised if they brought over a lot of Wii U games
