What I don't understand are all the people who cry and whine that the bay area isn't affordable, but also don't want to commute. There are lots of places where people commute 45 minutes or longer each way for work, but anything more than 15 is completely unbearable for the bay area? You're assuming people don't already do that. I work with dudes who make 1-2 hour commutes.
