Should we oblige a muslim caterer to provide service to a Beer & Bacon Fest?
Since this protects religion, take this scenario and tell me where you sit:
If a Christian extremist doctor is the only one that performs a rare, life-saving surgery in the state, what should happen if a gay man were to visit him because he needs this surgery and is turned away?
Because as far out as this sounds, it is protected by the Trump Administration and surely is protected by Mississippi and Alabama law.
Correct me if I'm wrong. Don't the Christian extremists believe being gay is a choice? Just have the sick person tell the doctor they've "been touched by the powa of Jesus and are now straight". Then get the surgery and carry on being gay.
Why should the patient have to lie to receive care? ---
